Nike Air Jordans Storyboards — Seb Antoniou
Storyboarded a Nike Air Jordans sequence — sneaker hero shots, athlete movement and culture cues drawn for the pre-production team. Black and white frames with selective rendered detail on the shoe itself.
Storyboards by Seb Antoniou for the 2024 Nike Air Jordans campaign, produced in London.
The brief
Sportswear briefs from Nike’s Jordan Brand sit in their own category. The hero of the film is a piece of footwear that the audience already knows by heart, so the boards have to balance two jobs at once: keep the sneaker readable in every cut, and tell a story around it that earns the time on screen. The brief here covered a sequence of hero shots, athlete movement, and street-culture beats. The shoe had to land cleanly in the eye line of each frame, and the cuts had to feel like the pace of the sport rather than the pace of an ad break.
The storytelling decision
The sneaker has to do the heavy lifting in every frame — even when the camera is on the athlete. You board it so the shoe is always in the eye line, even when it is not the subject. That changes how you compose the wide shots, where you put the horizon, and how long you hold each beat before the next cut.
